ABOUT AMY MCKEOWN

Amy McKeown is a consultancy and service provider that works with forward thinking organisations and people who recognise that workplace health, mental health and wellbeing is the next board level and societal issue.

Who pays for health and mental healthcare, and the role of the employer in looking after and investing in their people’s health will become of increasing importance as society grapples with who pays for healthcare, is it individual, state or employer?

Organisations investing in a comprehensive strategic health and mental health strategy will see a clear Return on Investment and Value on Investment. This includes:

- increased profitability and productivity,

- lower absence and retention,

- increased employee engagement and loyalty,

- compliance,

- and lower legal risk.

Health and wellbeing are increasingly being seen as part of the ‘S’ in ESG (Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance).

Our Story

Amy McKeown began by accident after Amy McKeown had her second child Bear in 2015. Amy’s passion for working in wellbeing and mental health came from growing up in a medical and specifically psychiatric family. In her teens her father was an awarded an Honorary degree for putting in the mental health support at AstraZeneca. This ignited her interest in how workplaces and health and wellbeing interact.

She saw working in organisations as a way to impact health and mental health at a system level rather than individual.

Amy has 20 years unparalleled experience working in all areas of workplace health and mental health from running a mental health tech start up for a decade (before they were fashionable) and being one of the first UK Wellbeing Leads, writing and implementing a big 4’s UK strategy. Emerging from having Bear and deciding how to re-enter the mental health and wellbeing market Amy started putting practical and technical content out on Linked In. Her first client, a FTSE 100 approached her to write their global Wellbeing strategy and Amy McKeown the business was born.

Amy’s original passion for health and mental health was amplified by her own personal experience of using the organisational health systems she out into place. Her redundancy after a long miscarriage showed her the impact on individuals and families of getting this wrong and has driven her to build a business that impact the lives and health of as many people as possible.
