INDIVIDUAL MENTORSHIP

What does Mentorship with me look like?

At any one time I work with five individual mentees 1:1 for a minimum of three

months.

I created this mentorship as a way of working and supporting individuals working in

and around health, mental health, mental health strategy, and wellbeing. It

complements my work with organisations as a consultant and a strategic partner.

We work intently together, on different aspects of their work, mental health strategy

development and know-how for implementing health and wellbeing, mental health

and women’s health strategies.

To my surprise I previous mentees include senior leaders across the industry. This

includes Wellbeing Leads, people working for providers, and a few entrepreneurs. All

at different stages or maturities of their work within health, mental health and

wellbeing. And some who regularly speak at high profile conferences about their

work. Industry names.

Themes I am seeing and working with current mentees on are:

  • Re-defining poorly structured or unclear Wellbeing roles

  • Wanting someone in their corner

  • Support identifying next job or next step in career

  • Needing support writing the next stage of a wellbeing strategy or programme

  • Navigating and managing stakeholders

  • Developing a dashboard or proving ROI for an existing mental health strategy

  • Entering the market, product definition, finding investment (the entrepreneurs)

Who’s Mentorship for?

If you’ve are working in health, mental health or wellbeing or have been trying to implement a mental health strategy or wellbeing programme for more than 6 months, but feel nothing you’re doing is working, you’re not being taken seriously or you’re feeling isolated, then this skills-based personal development mentoring is for you!

You could be worried about lack of career progression, what happens after being a well-being lead and wondering how to really make an impact.

Let me tell you why this isn’t working, to put it simply. Lack.  Lack of knowledge, lack of skills, lack of seniority or budget to get things done.

You’re not the only one, so many are in the same boat.  But I can help change that, using a blended skill set like mine with over 20 years of experience I can guide you to bringing knowledge and value, allowing you to be the change maker that the industry needs.

Mentorship gives those within the health, mental health, and wellbeing space an opportunity to pull on my vast knowledge and experience and my expertise in the creation and delivery of successful strategies. We work together to make you even better at your day job.

I will support you, teach you and build your confidence in the area as an expert.

Testimonials

  • Peter Kelly - Director & Founder Being Real, Previously Health and Safety Executive (HSE)

Amy has Assisted me as a mentor in developing my business with Regards to how to promote well-being strategies for both large and small organisations.

She has a very real and engaging approach when mentoring by simplifying complex arguments into a list of actions and is then able to evidence.

The actions are likely to produce positive change. If you are looking for an engaging person centred mental health strategist , then I would highly recommend Amy.

If you're looking for someone who has had substantial experience with practical application, then amy be the perfect choice.

  • Julia Biles - Group Head of Wellbeing at Saga lia Biles - Group Head of Wellbeing at Saga

I reached out to Amy for some mentoring as I had transitioned from a Global Head of Wellbeing role in a health care organisation with lots of support and access to world class healthcare resources, to a smaller UK based insurance company with a big transformation agenda where I was seen as the singular expert voice on wellbeing.

With Amy’s support, I was able to re-gain my confidence and belief in my own knowledge and also take advantage of her wealth of experience to sound-board my ideas.

Amy, is a natural mentor, generously offering up her experience and expertise, whilst allowing space for mentees to take what they need and apply it in their roles, seeing the results for themselves.

Her confidence and passion for workplace health shines through and I would highly recommend her as a mentor to anyone who works within the world of workplace health – be it off the side of their desk, as a Head of, or as someone who is passionate about getting into this space and just wants to find out more about the industry. Amy is an expert in her field, and rightly so.

  • Hannah Meredith - Award Winning Health and Wellbeing Lead, MVF

I worked with Amy over 4 months where she mentored me in my role as Health & Wellbeing Lead for a global tech marketing company.

The sessions with Amy have really given me the tools I need to achieve my objectives-specifically around defining measurable KPI’s and ROI for the businesses Health, Mental Health & Wellbeing Strategy.

Amy is incredibly generous with her time, contacts and resources -I feel I got so much more than just the objectives that were set out.

The relationship has given me a much needed form of support that I was really lacking. The work of leading corporate health & wellbeing strategy is often siloed within a business and I have found it can be daunting and overwhelming but Amy’s support has helped me to refocus and feel energised again.

I would highly highly recommend Amy for mentoring.

  • Anonymous Employee Wellbeing Lead

Amy’s mentorship was crucial in helping me to understand the realities of the employee wellbeing role I had found myself in and to formulate a plan that allowed me to tackle some of the ongoing issues.

Through her support, I was able to become more assertive around the boundaries of my role and to try things I hadn’t tried before. She listened intently and guided me assertively, which was refreshing and very needed.  She pushed me where I needed to be pushed and, combined with her expertise allowed me to feel inspired – rather than stuck – about my next steps.

In the end, she helped me realise it was time to move on and I secured a role in a field related to employee wellbeing and in an environment I am happy in.

I’ve had mentors before, and Amy was by far the most attentive, constructive, and inspirational. Anyone would be lucky to have her as a mentor.
